There are some maintenance-free designs. Sealed lead acid cells are 2.0 volts (nominal) and range from 500 mAh to above 100,000 mAh in capacity. The energy density by weight is 30 Wh/kg. They are good for 200-500 cycles. Self discharge rate is 5% per month, and the operational temperature range is from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. The preferred charge method is constant voltage at a rate between C/10 to C/4.
